This depiction of a bosc pear will be available at auction within the next 24 hours. It is an original oil on gessoed masonite panel. I will frame the painting (5 x 7 format for now) for an additional $20, or you can purchase it as is and frame it yourself, or display it on a tabletop style easel stand. Click here to view a larger photo. All paintings are signed front and back. Although the photographs and colors have been adjusted as closely to the original as possible, the colors may vary slightly from what your monitor shows, but that is due to the inherent variations between monitors and digital reproduction limitations.
I am Gregg M. Labrecque. I have been an artist my entire life. I attended Massachusetts College of Art in the late 1970s. At the time earning a living from fine art seemed unlikely, so I embarked on a different path, in the high tech industry, with the final 8 years as a sales professional. During those years I attended artists workshops with vacation time, illustrated a few books, catalogs, and purchased just about every text and art periodical published. In 1991, I began a decorative painting/mural business, which grew and allowed my artistry to flourish, and grow. In the past 3 years I have shifted emphasis to fine art. This is an allure that I could no longer deny, and today I find myself more fulfilled and eager for each next step and passage. While my artists bio, and list of accomplishments have been for the most part limited to my success as a muralist. I am committed to my growth and my path in the fine arts. I love to paint, have a passion for art, and am wholeheartedly committed to my vision, and my creative interpretations continuing to emerge and mature along the never-ending path of growth as an artist excited about what lies ahead.
